Tire rotations, you hear about them all the time but are they really THAT important? Short answer? Yes! Besides having your tire pressure properly set, tire rotations are the easiest thing you can do to prolong the life of your tires.
Many vehicles will have tires wear differently depending on whether they are on the front or the rear. By rotating your tires on schedule, you are evening out the wearing process on the tires. When tires are not rotated enough this often leads to tires "cupping" or "chopping"... With a proper rotation schedule you can prevent this from happening to your tires.
Vehicle manufacturers are switching to lower profile tires, and with it comes an increase in the price of these tires. To protect the investment you make in new tires you should make sure your rotations are done at least every 6000-8000 km (the more you rotate, the better it is for your tires). Any purchase of four tires at either of our stores automatically qualifies for free rotations for the life of the tires. All it takes is 20 minutes and you save yourself lots of money in the future! So next time you stop in to have your oil change done, make sure you remember to get that rotation done as well.
